Artist Hsu Yunghsu is now participating in the group exhibition “Particle and Wave: Paper Clay Illuminated.” In the exhibition, 45 works are featured and created by international artists who incorporate paper pulp and organic fibers into their clay, resulting in increased strength and lighter weight. The exhibition showcases a wide range of visual forms, which would not be possible with traditional methods, the artists utilize the technique to express contemporary social and cultural ideas.

“Particle and Wave: Paper Clay Illuminated” is organized by Lorie Nelson, the exhibition director and founder of The International Paper Clay Exhibition, curated by Peter Held and sponsored by Red Line Contemporary Art Center. This exhibition will be the first traveling exhibition to feature international artists who are creating innovative work by using cellulose fiber and clay. The first stop on the tour is the Arizona State University Art Museum, with an opening date of June 22, 2019. The tour is expected to run through 2021, with exhibitions at several institutions in the United States, including the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Massachusetts, the first museum to recognize its importance and offer to host the exhibition.
